Data-Driven dishes
Client: OpenTable
At the close of 2018, OpenTable wanted to share engaging insights into dining trends and fun statistics drawn from their user data. The goal was to present these findings in a visually captivating way across their blog, social channels, and email newsletter.
Role: Photographer
Italian cuisine was the most popular amongst all diners.
3,197 diners called their dining experience the “best night ever.”
Fish and chips was the most reviewed dish in the U.K.
66% of diners left a 5-star review after their reservation.
Prime rib was the most reviewed dish in the U.S.
Creative Approach
To bring the data to life, we planned a photoshoot focused on creating mouthwatering visuals that would resonate with OpenTable’s audience. I handled the photography, photo editing, and created dynamic stop-motion GIFs to add an interactive touch to the campaign’s visuals.
Results
The campaign successfully combined data with mouthwatering imagery, increasing engagement across OpenTable’s platforms and adding a memorable, shareable layer to their year-end content.
